About Us — Waffle House Menu (wafflehous.com)

This site exists because finding accurate Waffle House menu information online is harder than it should be.

Search “Waffle House menu prices” and you get outdated PDFs, DoorDash listings that don’t match dine-in prices, food blog posts from 2019 still showing the egg surcharge as active, and corporate pages that tell you almost nothing. We got tired of that. So we built this.

Who We Are

We’re an independent team of food writers, researchers, and Waffle House regulars. We don’t work for Waffle House. We’ve never worked for Waffle House. We have no relationship with Waffle House, Inc. beyond being customers who eat there regularly and think the place deserves better documentation than it currently has online.

Most of our team is based in the Southeast. That matters because it means we can verify prices and menu changes in person — not just by scraping other websites.

What We Built

Full menu documentation. Every item on the Waffle House menu with real verified prices, calorie estimates, Reddit and diner ratings, and honest descriptions written by people who have actually eaten the food. No descriptions that read like they came from a marketing department.

Verified prices. We cross-reference against multiple sources — in-person visits, DoorDash listings, Reddit threads, and user reports. When prices differ by location, we show the range. We don’t pretend one universal price exists when it doesn’t.

Free tools. The Meal Calculator lets you build any Waffle House order and see calories and estimated price before you walk in. The Price Comparison tool shows dine-in vs to-go vs delivery. Both free. Both always will be.

Secret menu. Not a corporate thing — a collection of custom orders that regulars and cooks have been passing around for years. We document them as accurately as possible, including exactly how to order them.

Our Standards

We only publish what we can verify. If we can’t confirm something from at least two independent sources, we either note the uncertainty or we don’t publish it.

We update when things change. The egg surcharge was removed June 2, 2025. We updated it that week. When the Cinnamon Crunch Waffle dropped in 2026, we added it. When prices shift, we fix the numbers.

We correct mistakes. If you find something wrong, email us at [email protected]. We’ll check it. If you’re right, we’ll fix it and we’ll thank you for it.

We’re fully independent. No commercial relationship with Waffle House, Inc. No sponsored content disguised as editorial. No corporate access. Just a site built by people who eat there and want the information to be accurate.

Why Waffle House Specifically

Because it’s genuinely one of the most interesting restaurant chains in America and it doesn’t get treated that way.

Waffle House sells more T-bone steaks than any other restaurant in the United States. The chain has been open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year since 1955 — through hurricanes, blizzards, ice storms, and a global pandemic. FEMA uses Waffle House as an unofficial disaster readiness indicator. If your local Waffle House is closed, the situation is serious. If it’s open on a limited menu, things are recovering. If it’s running full service, the area is largely back to normal. They call it the Waffle House Index.

The food is simple. It’s made in front of you. It’s been largely the same for seven decades. The coffee is bottomless. The hashbrowns have a whole vocabulary. The T-bone is a legitimate phenomenon.

That deserves a good reference site. We’re trying to build one.
